Abstract At the request of José Manuel, Agustín Domingo, and Louisde Arechaga, Don Juan Alonso Guerra y Sandoval, the Principal King of Arms of Spain, prepared this history of the nobility of the Arechaga family and its branches, including Mendieta, Aguirre, Vergara, and Asteyza. The family is Basque and the history of the ancestors involves events in that region.
