Collection comprises multiple documents from three members of the Ely family, Ben-Ezra Stiles Ely, his father Ezra Stiles Ely, and his brother Samuel Carswell Ely. This includes the handwritten autobiography of Ben-Ezra Stiles Ely, handwritten and printed official law documents of Ezra Stiles Ely and his wife Caroline Thompson Holmes Ely, and a land certificate of Samuel Carswell Ely.

1 folder(s) (Folder contains the fifteenth through nineteenth chapters of Ben-Ezra Stiles Ely's autobiography. These papers are handwritten and have Ely's corrections. The chapters include mentions of his conversions, his movements from church to church, his pastorate in Stockton between October 1969 and April 1872, something regarding $15,794, his experience in February 1881 in Ottumwa, Iowa during a blizzard, and other subjects. Between the pages of his autobiography are a few printed pages written by Ely from the book "Proceedings of the Semi-Centennial" assembled by the Willow Creek Presbyterian Church.)
