Drawing Book, 1844
Scope and Contents
The Sarah Kempton collection contains two letters from Sarah Kempton to her cousin Rebecca Bailey regarding the summer of 1844, and from Sarah and her sister Anna M. B. Kempton to Rebecca discussing the regulations of Wheaton Seminary, 1844. The letters contain light-hearted descriptions of plans for summer activities and youthful exchanges between cousins. Sarah's drawing book, created while she was a student at the Seminary in 1844, contains fanciful sketches of scenery and stonework.
