Professor of English Curtis Dahl, the first unmarried male professor to be hired by the College, resided in the Wheaton Inn before his marriage. Author of "The Architects of Norton". Town of Norton: "The Polly Goodwin Lot. Originally part of Polly Goodwin’s extensive land holdings. Donated by Curtis Dahl, who has written a pamphlet on Polly Goodwin, an important figure in nineteenth-century Norton. The land is wooded, and close to I-495. It can be reached from Bruce and Sumac Streets in Norton Grove, off Cobb St. Donated December 29, 1980.

Collection comprises multiple documents from three members of the Ely family, Ben-Ezra Stiles Ely, his father Ezra Stiles Ely, and his brother Samuel Carswell Ely. This includes the handwritten autobiography of Ben-Ezra Stiles Ely, handwritten and printed official law documents of Ezra Stiles Ely and his wife Caroline Thompson Holmes Ely, and a land certificate of Samuel Carswell Ely.
