Marjorie H. Wall, 68, West Hartford, wife of Gordon B. Wall, Died Thursday, (July 16, 1998) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Flushing, NY, she was the daughter of the late Chester E. and Ruth (Jordan) Hathaway. She lived in West Hartford for 41 years, moving there from Hazardville. She attended Wheaton College in Norton, MA for two years and graduated from the University of Connecticut. She worked for Hamilton Standard for seven yers, retiring in 1960. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Hartford and a past president of the Hartford Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta. Active in patriotic organizations, she was a member of the Sarah Whitman Hooker Chapter of the DAR, in which she held various offices; Hereditary Order of Descendants of Colonial Governors; Society of the Descendants of the Founders of Hartford; Daughters of Colonial Wars; The National Huguenot Society of Connecticut; a descendant of Elder William Brewster, she was a Life Member of the Mayflower Society. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Gordon B. Wall, Jr, his wife Élizabeth and a granddaughter Stephanie Lauren all of Glastonbury; a daughter, Susan W. Griesbach and her husband David, of East Haddam.
