Most written in 1885 refer to the Semicentennial Sketch of Wheaton Female Seminary, written by Lucy Larcom and commissioned by Eliza Baylies Wheaton. Later letters refer to summering with Ellen Carpenter and other friends, writing a sketch about Monticello Seminary, removal of teeth, visits to Norton, and political divisions in Beverly. Many with envelopes with notes written by Eliza Baylies Wheaton.
