Shoe Information, 1800 - 1900
Scope and Contents
Lucy Morse’s donations begin with the first series, SHOE INFORMATION, which contains background information about shoes many of which she gave to Wheaton College. This information is undated and much of it was typed. There are also a few small booklets that outline the differences in styles of shoes over the last few hundred years. This series also contains a picture of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thumb. A pair of Mrs. Tom Thumb’s shoes is in the SHOE series.
