Prof. MacCoy frequently referred to the current state of his discipline by attending the various seminars, workshops and conferences available. This box contains valuable documentation from these professional development conferences, as well as the handbooks or manuals he may have received during his attendance. Prof. MacCoy also took extensive notes during these conferences, which have been included in these files. The conferences mentioned in these documents are the National Science Foundation Seminar in Topical Biology in Costa Rica, the National Science Foundation Summer Conference for College Teachers, and the Summer Institute of RadioEcology.
