Born in Mansfield, MA, ca. 1949. Mother worked in Wheaton's Business Office, obtained tickets to hear Eleanor Roosevelt's Otis Lecture in Chapel, Feb. 1962; seeing and hearing ER one of most vivid memories, sat in left balcony, applause for ER from moment entered Chapel til walked, using two canes, to podium, then hush fell over crowd until further applause during speech. Played trombone in Mansfield High School Marching/Concert Band. After graduation from high school, "went to sea" in yachts and larger ships plying the East Coast of North & South America, as cook, First Mate, etc., earned 100 ton license. Kept diaries or calendars throughout career, shipped them home every six months. Possible donor of her papers.
