Hilda Frame Harris W1931 was Wheaton College Librarian from 1961 to 1975. She brought technology to the Library, instituting the OCLC cataloging system. Having inherited the Library with its new Periodicals Wing (1961), she soon began to agitate for additional collections space. She instituted the Library Visiting Committee, with joined her in advocating for modern facilities and efficient systems.
An active member of the Wheaton College Alumnae Association, she wrote its history, "No Backward Steps" in 1970.
