The COSTUME series includes cards, bookmarks, and postcards which were purchased in 1998 and 2000 of costumes and shoes ranging from 1630 to 1994. They show what clothes and shoes would have looked like in England, France, the US and others from the 17th to the 20th centuries.

Scope and Contents From the Series:

The SCRAPBOOK series contains many pages of unbound images, including mostly pictures and postcards, of art and architecture of some of the places she traveled including Italy, The East, Greece, and England along with others. Some of these images are in color and others are in black and white. Annotated by Lucy Morse, images are listed, from when and where they were created. The series is undated.

Abstract This collection was donated by Lucy A. Morse in 1942 in memory of her mother, Lydia Brownell Smith Morse class of 1850. The collection has a large number of shoes from all over the world including China, Malta, Argentina, France, and the US among others. The collection also includes general information about shoes as well as a photograph of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thumb.
