Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The Balanced Curriculum Project at Wheaton College was an attempt to achieve gender equity across the curriculum in the coursework of Wheaton College students. The projet was funded by the Fund for the Improvement of PostSecondary Education (FIPSE for short) at the US Department of Education. This collection consists of three series: Background Materials and Research, Chronological Files, and Later Acruals. The Background Materials and Research series contains readings, syllabi, course information, and related materials from colleges and universities across the country. Wheaton faculty gathered this material to better inform their work. The second series, Chronological Materials, contains all Wheaton-produced materials: corrspondence, agendas, meeting minutes and notes, studies, consultations, etc. The third series, Later Accruals, consists of files later transferred to the Gebbie Archives from individual offices and departments.
