Linda Rihbany Summer 1969, 1969

 File — Box: 21, Folder: 5

Scope and Contents

From the Series:

Prof. Jennings was one of the first Wheaton professors to employ students in conducting research over the summer. She brought in students from area colleges (such as Harvard College and Newton College of the Sacred Heart). These students collaborated with select Wheaton students through the prestigious undergraduate research grant awarded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). This particular grouping includes the research notebooks she provided for her students’ use, their research data and the final reports they composed to summarize their work. Some of the topics researched demonstrate a mutually beneficial relationship between the students and Prof. Jennings; their work on Keto-Enol Tautomerism and Uracil, for example, demonstrates that she provided her students the opportunity to work collaboratively on projects to be used in future publications.
