Prof. Jennings was one of the first Wheaton professors to employ students in conducting research over the summer. She brought in students from area colleges (such as Harvard College and Newton College of the Sacred Heart). These students collaborated with select Wheaton students through the prestigious undergraduate research grant awarded by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
